The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing, growing and managing the direct sales team. This role is an important member of the BNC team and works closely with nearly every part of our organization. In this position, the right individual will generate a sizable income, build an exciting and rewarding career, and directly influence the growth of the company.


What We Are Looking For

Business Network Consulting is looking for a Business Development Manager who has experience working as both a personal contributor and leading a sales team.  This position will as a conduit between management, the marketing department and the sales team to assist in continually refining our services and offering.

A key part of this role will be developing top performers for our offices in Denver and Dallas. You can demonstrate that you’ve previously built scalable processes and implemented strategies that have successfully grown a sales team, and that people you’ve coached and developed have gone on to achieve further success. You also have proven experience increasing year-over-year revenue and representing your organization with lead referral partners.

You will build and lead a team of Solution Architects dedicated to driving B2B sales in the markets we service.


What We Want You To Do

  • Lead a team of Sales professionals in day to day activity including coaching to increase closure ratios and pipeline management in a high growth selling environment
  • Collaborate with the sales team, marketing department and executive team to come up with and execute creative prospecting strategies to penetrate accounts and manage referral partners.
  • Initial, direct responsibility for developing, tracking and managing all external sales activities in the Texas market.
  • Respond immediately to inbound sales leads and meet with prospective customers.
  • Manage a pipeline of business in our CRM and consistently meet or exceed close ratio’s and other sales performance quotas
  • Build strong relationships with new customers to ensure their successful initial transition into the BNC fold, to develop additional work opportunities, and to generate new referrals.
  • Enthusiastically represent our solutions to our lead referral partners and local associations
  • Travel to our Denver twice a year to meet with your team and our partners


What We Want To See

  • 7+ years of B2B technical sales experience selling services or a customizable solution to C-level executives.
  • 2+ years’ managing a sales team.
  • Strong phone and interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written) as well as organizational skills
  • Strong understanding of Managed Services and I.T. support in medium and small enterprise enviornments
  • Experience working with or other CRM
  • Salesmanship and effective communications
  • Time management (ability to work alone and develop own daily/weekly agenda)
  • Organized and structured thinking for planning and execution purposes
  • A self-starter with strict attention to detail
  • Drive, self-confidence and resourcefulness
  • Vision, positive attitude and ability to think outside of the box
  • Analytically minded and able to engage with and utilize others to deliver targets

Compensation Description

Generous base salary and commission structure tied to the performance of your team. Health insurance, 401k plan with company matching, Cell phone and laptop for business use, Travel and parking reimbursement, 3 weeks paid time off per year.
