What You’ll Be Doing

• Serving your assigned clients, onsite and remotely, as their primary IT resource and advisor
• Supporting primarily Microsoft networks, desktops, and servers, as well as hybrid and complete cloud environments.
• Managing new installations and migrations.
• Managing system and/or network issues to resolution within the client base.
• Identifying ways to improve client infrastructure, systems and security.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• Some consulting experience (with small or mid-sized businesses is even better)
• Outstanding troubleshooting skills
• Exceptional customer-facing skills, excellent customer service, and professionalism
• Willingness to support occasional after-hours and weekend work
  

• 5+ years of installing and administering Windows Server environments (Windows 2008 - 2019)
• 3+ years’ experience migrating and managing Office 365 and/or Google Workspace (GSuite)
• Hands on experience deploying and managing cloud computing environments including Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services
• Experience deploying and managing VMware ESXi 5.5 - 7.0
• Experience working as an independent consultant or with a consulting company balancing multiple clients’ needs and priorities
• Ability to proactively identify improvements for existing IT systems and infrastructure, including hardware, software, network, and security enhancements
• Ability to plan, propose, and execute projects with minimal oversight
• Experience working with small to mid-sized clients in person, on the phone, and via email
• Clear understanding of networking technologies including routers, firewalls, switches, etc.
• Experience with monitoring services and handling afterhours on-call emergencies

This is a full-time position. Compensation is commensurate with demonstrable knowledge, experience and consulting ability.
